Expanding Access through Financial Assistance
UNI's Future Ready Award is for UNI @ IACC students who meet income and eligibility criteria. These awards will assist in covering the difference between community college tuition and the UNI tuition rate for students pursuing one of the qualifying UNI online degree completion programs.
Criteria for the Future Ready Award
Criteria
Students enrolled in a UNI online degree completion program through the UNI @ IACC partnership may be eligible for a Future Ready Award. To qualify, students must have:
- Meet UNI and online program admission requirements - with 24+ transfer credits from an Iowa college and currently reside in Iowa.
- Enroll in at least 3 units per term (includes fall, spring and summer).
- Scholarships may be adjusted if enrollment changes. The final scholarship award is based on units enrolled 10 days into the term.
- Complete the FAFSA demonstrating financial need.
The Future Ready Award will be automatically awarded to eligible students. Funding is contingent on available funding.
Awards
Future Ready Award amounts will vary, depending on how many credits a student is registered for each semester. After being awarded, students' tuition balance will be at or near the community college tuition level.

**The UNI College of Business has a supplemental tuition ($83/unit of credit) for students who are a declared major in the College of Business and are classified as a junior, senior or graduate student. Students in the online Management: Business Administration (BA) and Accounting Hybrid BA programs will be charged supplemental tuition.
