Expanding Access through Financial Assistance
American Rescue Plan funding has been designated to support Future Ready Scholarships for UNI @ IACC students who meet income and eligibility criteria. These scholarships will assist in covering the difference between community college tuition and the UNI tuition rate for students pursuing one of the qualifying UNI online degree completion programs.
Future Ready Scholarship Criteria & Awards
Criteria
Students enrolled in a UNI online degree completion program through the UNI @ IACC partnership may be eligible for a Future Ready Scholarship. To qualify, students must have:
- Meet UNI and online program admission requirements - with 24+ transfer credits from an Iowa college and currently reside in Iowa.
- Enroll in at least 3 units per term (includes fall, spring and summer).
- Scholarships may be adjusted if enrollment changes. The final scholarship award is based on units enrolled 10 days into the term.
- Complete the FAFSA demonstrating financial need, as defined by ARP funding guidelines.
Future Ready Scholarships will be automatically awarded to eligible students. Funding for Future Ready Scholarships is scheduled through December 2026, contingent on available funding.

While the table below shows a potential tuition balance after the Future Ready Scholarship is awarded, completing your FAFSA will allow UNI to potentially reduce--or eliminate--your remaining balance through other forms of financial aid, based on your availability.
